Hearts of Hope: A Moment of Connection
February 10–15, 2026
Seattle Children’s Hospital, CBDC Outpatient Clinic, Seattle, WA

Event story
Over the course of several days, the Hearts for Hope Wall quietly took shape inside the CBDC outpatient clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Without announcements or instructions, families encountered it in their own time, during moments of waiting, transition, and pause.
Some stopped briefly to read a message. Others added a few words of their own. Many simply stood with the wall for a moment before continuing on. In a space often filled with appointments, procedures, and difficult conversations, the wall became a gentle presence, offering warmth without asking for attention.
The messages left behind reflected courage, love, and deep understanding. Notes of encouragement sat beside simple hearts. Words written for one child were read by another family who needed them just as much. Together, they formed a quiet reminder that even in the midst of treatment, no family is walking alone.
Kyra believed in the power of small, human moments. This installation honored that belief by creating space for connection without disruption. It did not ask families to do more than they already are. It simply offered a place to be seen, to feel held, and to know that others understand this journey.
As the installation concludes, the collected artwork will continue forward with Kyra’s Hope Foundation, carrying these shared expressions of hope beyond the clinic walls to raise awareness and support for children fighting cancer. What began as a quiet wall became a collective voice. And that voice will continue to matter.
