What Goes Into a Hope Box
Every Hope Box is hand-assembled by volunteers. Here is what we put inside, and the thinking behind each item.
A Hope Box is not a gift bag. It is a carefully curated set of items designed to ease specific moments in a pediatric cancer family's day.
Inside every box, you will find a soft blanket chosen for hospital infusion chairs that are often cold. A small set of art supplies that travel well through long appointments. Handwritten cards from community volunteers, never printed, always personal. A coffee gift card for the caregiver, because exhausted parents deserve a moment too. And a small comfort item, a plush, a journal, a sensory toy, selected with the child's age and interests in mind when we know them.
What we deliberately leave out matters just as much. We do not include anything that pretends the journey is easy. We do not include anything performative. We do not stuff the box for the sake of looking generous.
If you would like to contribute supplies or sponsor a box, visit our Hope Box page. Every box reaches a real child, and every child deserves to feel seen.
