Kyra's Hope Foundation Event
206 Miles of Hope: Ride for Kyra

Event Story
This is a story about a 14-year-old boy named Vivaan, and the promise he kept to his friend Kyra.
When you are 14, grief is not supposed to be part of the plan. Vivaan could have let it sit quietly. Instead he chose to turn it into motion, into miles, into something that helps the next kid who hears the word cancer in a doctor's office.
So this July, he rode. As our Youth Ambassador, Vivaan covered 206 miles from Seattle to Portland across two days, July 11 and 12, pedaling for Kyra over one long, beautiful stretch of open road. It is a serious distance for anyone, let alone someone barely out of middle school. He did it anyway.
He did not ride alone. Kyra's father, Gautam, rolled out beside him at the start line, riding for the daughter he carries in his heart every mile of the way. Around them were the rest of the Hope Bikers, Girija, Sanket, and Vivaan, a small team moving together with an outsized amount of joy and purpose.
Kyra believed in finding light on even the darkest days. This ride was that belief on wheels. It was love you could actually see, traveling down the highway, gathering speed, refusing to slow down.
Every mile they pedaled goes straight to work. Kyra's Hope Foundation meets childhood cancer families exactly where they are, with personalized Hope Boxes for kids in treatment, emergency relief for households stretched thin, and embedded tech and research cohorts working to turn the next diagnosis into less of a verdict and more of a detour. Comfort today, cures tomorrow, mile after mile.
To everyone who sponsored a mile, backed a rider, cheered along the route, or rode beside us: thank you. You turned two days on the open road into comfort a family can actually hold.
Two hundred and six miles, ridden and completed. A whole community moved together, one pedal stroke at a time, and Kyra's light kept traveling every mile of the way. You can still sponsor a mile below and keep it going.
